Our Values

At Urbana Grace Church, we:
This is our command, and we desire to be obedient. We are ALL followers with Jesus Christ in the lead. We surrender our lives and our plans to Him. (Mt 22:36-40; Mt 28:18-20)
The message and hope of the Gospel should NEVER get boring. Each one of us needs to be reminded of this daily, and this message is at the core of ALL that we do. It brings us to salvation and sustains us as we live our lives for Jesus. (Jn 3:16; Rom 1:16-17)
We care deeply for our children and youth and are committed to raising them up to be faithful followers of Jesus who can be light in the darkness. They need to be equipped and ready to live lives that are boldly different than the rest of the world. (Dt 6:4-9; Lk 6:40)
There’s nothing we have that was not first His. We are to be good stewards of all that God has provided, having faith that it is ultimately God who WILL and DOES provide for us in our time of need. It is our privilege to serve him in our families, our community and our world. (1 Pt 4:10; Mt 25:40; Mk 10:45; Phil 2:3-4)
We will live and walk by the truth found in the Word of God. This is our guide. Yet, in all things, we know that we are the recipients of a grace that we could never earn. Our lives and interactions with the world around us should reflect this balance. (Jn 1:14-18; Eph 2:8-9; 2 Tm 4:2-4)
Relationships are vitally important. Discipleship and spiritual growth don’t happen in isolation, which is why it is crucial that we engage in healthy, accountable relationships with one another. (Jn 10:14-15; 1 Cor 13:12)
Our desire is to change the world, beginning right here in rural Ohio. As we follow Jesus and serve our community, we want to know that if we disappeared, someone would notice. (Mt 5:13- 16)
We are each purposefully created by God to share His love and truth with the world around us. We want to be genuine and real in our teaching, preaching, worship and relationships. We will not try to be something we’re not. (1 Cor 2:1-5; Rom 12:9-12)
